Yesterday I heard comments from Hilary Clinton saying that she wants to tax the rich (meaning anyone who makes more than 250,000 a year) and cut taxes on the middle class.. "so that we can cut middle-class taxes on people who get up everyday and do hard work to keep our country going" WHAT???? Just because someone makes more than 250,000 they aren't hard working? They don't help keep this country running? What in the heck does she mean?
Does she mean that if you make more than 250K you don't do anything to keep the country running? What she means is that if you have gone to school (or not) and gotten a great job, or maybe worked hard and clawed and scratched your way up the ladder and now make a decent living you are no longer in her voting demographic and she can safely alienate you.
This Robin Hood approach of taking from the rich and giving to the middle class hurts everyone. As small businesses try to get started these additional taxes restrict the number of employees they can hire. As more taxes are levied against the "rich" the government ends up with money that should spent buying goods and services. As less money is spent - guess what???? Less money spent means that business either can't hire new employees or they have to lay off the ones they have.
The Robin Hood approach of taking from the rich and giving to the poor really just robs us all and gives our money to the government who has proven time and time agan that they don't know how to handle it.

But it's always like that isn't it? Something for nothing, etc. ad nauseum. How 'bout we start with ol' Hillary and Bill's massive personal fortune and distribute it amongst some o' those poor middle-class folk (me! me! me! I want some, I want some!) to which they pander. Why, let's lop off a chunk of oh..I dunno'...100 million bucks or so of their estimated 110 million dollar treasure chest. You bet that ain't gonna' happen. They've already got that shit taken care of, via tax attorneys, loopholes, personal campaign contributors, etc. Oh, but they'll be happy to take from you, you not-so-well-connected-over-250k-a-year person, which isn't rich when compared to Hillary and Slick Willy. Where's Ron Paul when you need him?
Well said! That's the trouble with those that spout off about taking someone else's hard earned cash and giving it to some other segment of society....they have utterly no idea who the real people are that they plan on taking this money from. They put them in a "labeled box" and decide they don't really need all that much money, then give it away to other real people who have also been put in a "labeled box" called "more deserving." What!?? I'm with you on this. I'll take my leftover cash and give it to a charitable organization of MY choosing. Let the government make my choices as to where my earned money should go?.....I think not.
